Modis is currently seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Chicago area. The position is expected to start immediately and last for an initial duration of 6-12 months with the high likelihood of long-term extension and/or full time conversion. JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Network Security Engineer will be responsible for the design, high-level troubleshooting/maintenance and PCI/SOX compliance management for an enterprise Network Security Infrastructure comprised of IBM Enterprise Firewalls and IBM Proventia IDS/IPS platforms. Responsibilities: - Researching and implementing cutting edge firewall, IDS, IPS and Antivirus/Antispam technologies - Overseeing the security infrastructure design and build-out for new customer site locations - Designing and implementing Network Security elements in support of overall PCI and SOX Compliance - Providing Tier 3/Tier 4 troubleshooting, diagnosis and incident response as needed - Managing critical security alerts - Developing and maintaining Security and Network Standards, policies and rule sets - Providing configuration and on-going support for the Security Infrastructure environments, including IBM Firewalls, IBM Proventia IDS/IPS, System Monitoring, Vulnerability Scanning, performance tuning and file integrity management. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & TECHNICAL SKILLS - Minimum Bachelors Degree with 8-10+ years experience in a related IT Industry - Strong background in PCI and SOX Compliance CISSP Certifications would be a big plus! - 4-6+ years experience working with IBM Firewalls and IBM Proventia IDS/IPS Platforms - Good working experience with Qualys, eEye Retina, Wireshark or similar vulnerability analysis/scanning tools - Experience with Secureworks for system monitoring and alert management - Strong operations support experience with excellent customer service skills - Preferred experience within the travel, transportation and/or hospitality industry HOW TO APPLY *Please note that candidates must be eligible to work for any employer in the US without the requirement of visa sponsorship.*Please no third party inquiries or agency submissions* Qualified individuals are invited to apply for immediate consideration!
