RESPONSIBILITIES: Linux/Web Administrator An outstanding company/client of ours is seeking to add to their team a Linux/Web Administrator for Unix/Linux and Windows servers. The servers host many websites for different groups within the company. Their maintenance, high performance and integrity of the websites are key for the company. Along with maintaining hardware, software and system configurations, the Linux/Web Administrator is responsible for architecture of new systems and troubleshooting needs.Web Administration is the primary responsibility of the Linux/Web Administrator . Experiences with the following technical skills are required; Linux system administration, Apache Administration, PHP, SSL, Java EE application database integration, and systems programming and scripting. Remaining balance of responsibilities includes; Database integration, infrastructure security, maintaining high performance and availability. Of course, additional special projects as needed and assigned by company/management. EDUCATION/SKILLS:Degreed 2+ years experience of Web Administration 3+ years experience Unix/Linux System AdministrationMust have: 1. IIS 6.0. 2. Load-balancers. 3. NAS.4. Systems scripting including Bourne shell and Perl. 5. Web application database integration and troubleshooting. (Oracle or MYSQL)6. Java EE application server administration 7. Web design and implementation.8. Excellent skills with Apache Web server.9. Exposure and experience with at least one of the following: PHP, VB and ASP. Experience: SHORT SCOOP: Degreed and 2+ years of Web and Linux/Unix Administration. Must have exp with Linux Admin, Apache, Tomcat, with some certifications preferable. Web hosting experience is required. Will do 75% Admin and 25% web hosting. Any IIS, Load-balances, NAS, scripting (Borne and/or Perl), Java, and Oracle or MYSQL are all pluses.
