The User Experience Designer is responsible for creatively envisioning, evaluating, designing and defining successful client experiences for commercial banking web applications. This person must be creatively talented, have a good technical understanding, and really good at combining creativity and website design to achieve business objectives. This person must be a perfectionist who obsesses over pixel-perfect designs while be able to juggle multiple tasks at one time. Must be highly self-motivated, creative, innovative and well versed in widget design, enhanced features and functionalities, and must have a healthy experience in user interface design of Rich Internet Applications. This person must be familiar with next generation UI and be comfortable with social networking, Web 2.0 and be able to critically evaluate these experiences in terms of brand and the Internet future. As an integral part of the User Experience team this person will collaborate closely with product managers, front-end developers, and business stakeholders on concept generation through final implementation. This will include collaborating on new design concepts, consulting with stakeholders on design enhancements, and working on small/mid-size maintenance projects. Responsibilities include making informed recommendations on design strategies, leveraging best practices, accurately estimating and tracking time across multiple simultaneous projects, as well as working with the UX staff to develop and document methodologies, standards and best practices for the group.

Currently, we are interested in candidates with 5+ years of demonstrable experience and who have had a background involving large scale web initiatives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, be well versed in user-centered design practices, and can turn business and user requirements into elegant user interfaces and compelling interactive experiences.

Education/Skills/Experience Requirements Responsibilities:

Expert in User Interaction/Experience Design and Information Architecture for all aspects of the website that include improvements in: user interface in menu, navigation and design, user experience in flow of website relative to details of information architecture, content and creative flow and balance, capitalization of user expectations

Core Competencies:
. Deep understanding of user-centered design, usability, information design, interaction design, goal- oriented design and visual design
. Experience and familiarity in the capabilities of HTML, DHTML, CSS, Flash, Flex and AJAX-based applications
. Knowledge and experience with building Rich Internet Applications and Experiences
. Excellent communication skills - in person, written and presentation
. Ability to prioritize and track multiple tasks across multiple projects, under tight deadlines
. Willingness to switch gears quickly and be flexible to work on concurrent projects
. Ability to create clean, precise and detailed Information Architecture documentations
. Proficiency in industry standard UI software such as Visio, OmniGraffle, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, etc




Experience: 5+ years experience working as an information architect, interaction designer, or user experience designer; additional visual design experience a plus.

3+ years experience in corporate environment, advertising, product development, e-commerce or related field.

2+ years experience with usability testing including preparation, execution and analysis
Familiarity with current user experience and usability research, theories, best practices and methodologies.
