Genesis 10 is seeking Business Analysts willing to work on project for our clients located in Des Moines, IA. Title: Business Analyst Location: Des Moines, IA Duration: 6 12 Months Compensation: $40-50/hr (W2 or 1099 & benefits available) Responsibilities: Serve as a liaison between the lines of business and the project team by assisting the business in identifying, understanding, and documenting their business needs Participate in the identification, understanding, and documentation of business requirements, including the applications capable of supporting those requirements Detail requirements in use cases and related artifacts. The role may also be responsible for a use-case package, and maintains the integrity of that package. Participate in development of artifacts such as Use Case Models, Use Cases, Activity Diagrams (or Workflow Models), and Supplemental Specifications. Translate the business needs into system requirements, communicating with the business on a non-technical level, and with the System Analyst on a more technical level. Collaborate with system analysts, software engineers/ architects, and the business to develop both high-level and detailed application models that meet the business needs Assures that the business needs are accurately documented, business rules defined, and any assumptions or limitations documented Assist the PM in setting realistic project expectations and in evaluating the impact of changes on the organization and plans accordingly Identify and communicate project issues that would have a substantial impact on the project May determine project tasks and milestones Provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements. Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs and recommend changes. May provide direction and/or guidance to less experienced staff Recommend and initiate systems testing Develop systems test plan components and test scripts Develop status reports and other project communications Required Qualifications: Ability to work on client site in Des Moines, IA for project duration Bachelors degree 5 plus years of experience as a Business Analyst in a large corporate environment is essential Clear, concise & professional written & verbal communication skills Experience in managing and/or participating in large-scale projects Knowledge of the business and technology domain Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high paced environment Strong facilitator skills Ability to gather customer and user requirements, their strategies, and their goals Facilitate modeling of the target organization Discuss and facilitate a business engineering effort, if needed. Perform a cost/benefit analysis for any suggested changes in the target organization.
