Currently, we have an excellent career opportunity available for a Desktop Support Supervisor in the Systems Development Department of the Aon Warranty Group, a subsidiary of Aon Corporation.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervise desktop support; coordinate and plan the installation and support of PC hardware and software and for ensuring compliance to standards and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Primary responsibilities for this position include supervising desktop employees; recommending hiring, salary increases, and disciplinary actions, including termination and review of employee performance; supervise multiple desktop deployment projects; coordinating each project through a leader; defining timeline for project completion and assign additional staff appropriately taking into account staff skill and project deadlines; interfacing with remote site IT liaisons to provide technical guidelines to protect IT investments; conduct technology assessments and prepare plan for technology deployments based upon projected return on investment and other business related requirements; maintain knowledge of PC technologies and related products; tracking industry directions and applying this knowledge to provide better support for clients; coordinate research and development for desktops and defines procedures for introduction of these technologies in production environment; other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Qualified applicants must possess 3-5 years experience managing multiple projects involving introduction of new enterprise technologies; 3-5 years experience managing equipment and service purchases and new software acquisitions; good oral and written communication skills; emerging networking and relationship-building across the organization; ability to negotiate with peers and business partners; team building; good abilities with project management in small and mid-sized projects; ability to network with a matrix organization.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experience.
