One of our local clients is looking for a "Unix Computer Operator (3rd shift)" for a contract to hire position. Here is the description of the assignment:

Position: Unix Computer Operator
Location: Downtown Chicago, IL
Duration: 6 months (contract to permanent)
Shift: 3rd Shift (the ideal candidate will be open to other shifts as well)
Number of positions: 1
Compensation: Based on experience and skill level

MAIN SKILL: STRONG UNIX SKILLS IN A PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT

We are looking for a Unix Computer Operator to work at our long time client site in the Chicago Loop. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity. Must have basic knowledge and experience working w/ Unix. You will be trained for this position, but you must have UNIX skills. Experience with MVS, Control-M, Netview, and/or BMC Patrol are a definite plus but not required (you will be trained on these technologies as well).

You must also be willing and able to work off shifts when needed (There will be significant advanced notice) and an occasional weekend.
