Bilingual Helpdesk in Chicago, IL
Robert Half Technology has a client in downtown Chicago seeking a bilingual Helpdesk candidate. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Job duties will include the following: Database Management: Responsible for designing/preparing data formats for analysis, via Access. Train/ brief other employees in the effective usage of operating systems (re: email, databases, other system software packages). Create and maintain databases for department. Assist in design of pre-prepared electronic mailing lists, to facilitate periodic mass mailings and marketing outreach programs. Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly database updates. Technical Support: Assist personnel with software/hardware installation as well as usage. Provide assistance with Laptops, Desktops, Webpage, Mobile devices; keeping up to date with computer virus protection systems. Assist with updates on technology efficient systems; monitor management software updates (i.e. E-Procurement, MRI, Avid X change, TRACS, OPS). Responsible for special projects (i.e., PowerPoint presentations, reports, etc.) recordkeeping of electronic and hardcopy data. Network facilities planning, LAN/WAN access, software standards, and employee software/hardware training. Responsible for maintaining printer connectivity with network. Assist in creation of reports using MRI software; assist staff training with MRI, and Avid X Change. Document Control: Responsible for organizing and helping to maintain electronic Property Management filing system (i.e., shared drive) Assist in preparation of handbooks and other documents. Interactively create procedures and formats to receive data from other site offices (i.e., email attachments, PDF files). Responsible for e-file audits, cataloging, storage, disposition, and Vendor. Administrative Support: Track updated service contract information. Assist monitoring Safety and Security programs. Enter data for overtime, handle complaints via phone/mail, incident reports, vendors, service contract logs, and educational courses. Assist preparations of management documents. Provide status reports. Monitor Security cameras software’s from sites. Advanced knowledge of network software packages and their implementation, including email, database, spreadsheets and word processing packages (i.e., MS Suites, Lotus cc: Mail/Organizer, etc.). Working Knowledge of LANs/WANs (Local Area Networks/Wide Area Networks) to communicate, transfer electronic files, etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must. Strong analytical skills. Ability to train other employees in software/systems usage. Willingness to continue education in technical/management areas.
