Desktop Support Engineer/Chicago

Responsibilities
As a member of the Information Technology team and is responsible for
o Monitor tape backup functions (swap tape, log backups)
o Follow IT Tape backup guidelines and send tapes off-site weekly
o Restore required data as requested.
The environment is Windows 2000/XP, MS Office, ADS, and Lotus Notes.
Experience Required
.*At least one year of administering, monitoring and maintaining various servers is required.
* Strong working knowledge of Windows 2000/XP and ADS in a LAN environment.
* Experience with building user workstations
* Experience resolving user printing problems
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
*Demonstrated skills in working with remote users.
*Experience with Internet browsers (Netscape or Explorer) and TCP/IP addresses.
*Must be a strong communicator and have experience working with end users in a team environment.
Education/Certification
An Associates degree would be preferable but not required but, one year of hands-on 2000/NT experience is required. MCSE, CNE or CNA are also plusses.
