My downtown client is looking for a .NET Lead to join their team on a full- time basis. The Senior .NET Developer will be the Technical Lead when designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining applications to meet specific business requirements. These duties include design and development of complex n-tier web applications. The ability to independently design, code, and test major features, as well as work, jointly with other team members to deliver complex solutions. Working with users to elaborate on requirements and document solution designs is important to the role. The ability to communicate effectively with business owners, translating business requirements into technical requirements and also explain technical issues in an easily comprehensible manner is critical. In addition, the Senior Developer will maintain and improve existing applications in a timely fashion. The responsibilities require that the Senior Developer support other team members, including: assisting with, identifying, and resolving application development issues; providing recommendations for development infrastructure tools and technologies; soliciting feedback from and provide feedback to other team members; iteratively provide deliverables to ensure quality and adherence to requirements.

Experience: Candidates MUST HAVE 7+ years developing application software. 2+ years .NET experience, including VB.NET and ASP.NET. Experience with object oriented development. Experience with multi-tiered applications. 3 years of related work experience with building enterprise web applications with Microsoft tools, including: ASP, VB 6, COM+, IIS, MS SQL, HTML, CSS & JavaScript. Knowledge/Experience using the following Tools/Technologies: ADO.NET; Web Services; XML; UML Modeling; .NET Security; and COM Interop. Microsoft 2005 Products: .NET 2005; VS 2005; VS 2005 Team System; and SQL 2005. Three years of related work experience with Software Life Cycle Development including the use of VSS and deploying releases through multiple environments as part of a repeatable and reversible release management procedure. Experience in creating written requirements documents and project plans that can be understood and useful to both end users and developers
