Title:

Financial applications developer to aid our ongoing effort in the area of new/existing financial applications development for a globally distributed applications environment. This person must be an extremely detail oriented, self-motivated and have the skills necessary to develop and support our financial applications.

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications

. Strong enthusiasm for working with financial/accounting applications and the creation of quality products

. Very strong in SQL, proficiency with complex stored procedures, views development, and performance tuning.

. Excellent communicate skills (verbal and written), can communicate clearly and effectively with financial teams, technical teams and business users.

. Extremely detail oriented with the ability to work independently or in a small team with minimal supervision

. Thorough understanding of data modeling, specifically how it pertains to relational and dimensional financial systems.



Desirable Qualifications

. Exposure to SQL Server Reporting Service or Crystal Reports Enterprise

. Familiarity with Analysis Services data warehouse concepts

. Exposure to accounting applications such as Microsoft Navision



Mandatory Working Experience

. Minimum three (3) years hands-on web and desktop Financial or Accounting applications development experience

. Minimum three (3) years server side development experience in SQL Server or Oracle equivalent (preferably with SQL 2005)

. Minimum two (2) years hands-on VB.Net/JavaScript web development experience.

. Solid exposure to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) fundamentals

. Participated in the full development lifecycle from concept/design through product rollout

. Can demonstrate a successful history of having translated business requirements into applications

. Some Experience working in a distributed client/server environment using Delphi or Visual Basic.



Responsibilities



. Work closely with Financial Analyst, Data teams, and business/finance users to uncover and document new business problems.

. Develop web and desktop applications for Finance and Accounting department.

. Evaluate impact of change requests and new projects on our existing architecture and infrastructure.

. Conduct application maintenance / feature extensions of current products which may also involve integration with third party software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Crystal Reports, Navision, Hyperion Enterprise etc.).

. Track and follow through on reported production errors and issues.

. Collaborate with the application development team, the QA team, and the database team, Accounting Department during testing and rollout cycles.

. Be firmly committed to quality and completeness.

. Manage your own source code control.

. Coordinate and produce application builds across testing and production environments.

. Understand our network, server, and desktop infrastructure.

. Occasional weekend/after-hours work may be required to assist in application rollouts.

. Perform ad-hoc financial queries and reports upon request.
