Database Analyst - Office Technician in Chicago, IL
This downtown Chicago legal solutions team is looking for a smart, entrepreneurial candidate to handle multiple responsibilities. This person will handle loading data into client litigation databases, manage and troubleshoot client databases, they will provide database assistance and training to clients for litigation support software, modify/manipulate data to fill a variety of functions, blowbacks, load file creation, PDF-to-Tiff extraction, etc., produce client discs and load files based on clients’ project specifications, convert and repair other vendor data load files into standard builds, research/resolve image compression issues, and understand search-and-replace criteria. This person must also provide IT support for the Chicago office and have the ability to assist with server back-ups.
Experience: Requirements and Qualifications for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, the ability to write routine reports and correspondence, to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization, and to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. This person should have a knowledge of ACCESS and SQL, Microsoft Office applications and Outlook, and a strong working knowledge of Excel (delimit a file, copy/paste, create batch files, sort).
