Typical workday is 8 hours between 7 am and 6 pm based on customer requests. Emergency support is expected occasionally during off-hours.
Position Responsibilities:
The Desk Side Support Analyst provides technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of personal computer and related software/hardware. Trouble shoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when related to personal desktop computers. Activities include recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps. Screens, refers, and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers utilizing experience and understanding of Perot Systems' MIS environment. May also provide some phone support.
Typically, the analyst level participates in supportive role by providing analytical and in person technical support. Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions. Under little supervision, plans, installs, and tests less complex vendor supplied computer system hardware or software. Requires 2+ years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of system principles, theories, concepts, and technologies may be required in these positions.

Ability to demonstrate 1 to 3 years hands on desktop support experience or equivalent knowledge
Experience in working in a Service Desk environment
Customer Service: has successfully proven positive customer satisfaction and the ability to deal with difficult situations while following Perot policies and procedures.
Expected to meet the dress requirements of the clients site but at minimum “business casual”
Technical skills (not inclusive):
Operating Systems Windows 2000 and XP
Familiarity with Office Software (MS 2003)
Basic comprehension of network and server operation including troubleshooting PC connectivity issues, functioning as "remote hands" for network/server team.
Good understanding of Desktop and Laptop HW including troubleshooting of HW related issues.
Understand PC imaging technology and basic process
Desired Skills:
Minimum of 2-3 years in computer support (either level 1 or level 2) in mid-size enterprise environment. If level 1 support only prefer A+ and MCP cert.
Strongly prefer HTML and/or related web design code knowledge. Entry level knowledge sufficient.
Education:
Coursework in computer support - HW/SW - customer service preferred.
Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
MSCA Preferred, MCP preferred minimum although experience acceptable.
