Working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment, this individual will f unction as the technical resource across several projects focusing on the software products developed and supported by the Association to ensure these applications meet stakeholder needs. Provide operating systems support for Solaris 9, Solaris 10 and Windows 2003 with RedHat and UNIX. Monitor system resources of database servers to assure production systems meet performance & availability requirements and hardware enhancements are scheduled in a timely fashion. Monitor security breaches, error logs(s), system and log space, user activity and resource utilization of production environment. Work with application analysts to insure that application problems do not adversely affect production operations. Required qualifications include a B achelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience in similar work environment. Minimum 5+ years of IT work experience focused in production support. Demonstrated knowledge of design, implementation, and management and support of some or all of the following: IBM Mainframe, MQ Series, Vitria Businessware, Sun/Solaris, Oracle, DB2, SQL, Websphere, PeopleSoft, Cognos BMC Patrol, MS Windows Preferred qualifications include e xperience as a team member on project teams in a cross functional environment. Ability to communicate effectively with Plan management at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated experience within a customer focused environment.
