JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: EDI Coordinator/Programmer Reports To: Director of Management Information Systems Principal Objective: The EDI Coordinator is an important position in the IT department. Therefore, it is necessary that this individual is self-motivated, completion oriented, able to handle pressure and work well with others. Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.Duties and Responsibilities: The following is a list of specific duties that are considered to be essential functions of this job. AS400 operations. Analyze EDI trading partner requirements and specifications. Set up and test trading partners and transactions. Administer and support EDI processes and scheduling. Work directly with end-users and trading partners. Develop custom data conversions and translations. Coordinate Value Added Network interconnects. Monitor EDI usage and performance. Assist in problem resolution and troubleshooting. Maintenance of current applications and files. Contacts: Internally: All Departments within the company. Externally: Vendors, Customers, and Distribution Centers Desirable Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, along with 2 years of AS/400 application system development experience is required. Organizational and prioritization skills are necessary to accomplish day-to-day tasks. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to be self-guided. Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of Micro-Soft Windows and supported software such as Word and Excel required. AS/400 operations, proficient use of translator application, customer service and clerical experience is needed.
