Job Description: Experienced .NET Developer Omicron Technologies, Inc. (OTI), a 16-year, full-service IT consulting firm, headquartered in Chicago, specializing in software development and integration, employee and high-value asset tracking, project management, identity and records management, IT outsourcing, and implementation of security and efficiency improvements is seeking an Experienced .NET Developer. This position requires a highly-skilled and motivated individual with superior consulting skills. Key Responsibilities: Provide leadership in a collaborative team environment Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support our existing Microsoft-based systems Analyze requirements and architect software system design Provide technical leadership and mentoring to internal developers and external consultants Lead complex software projects involving integration of multiple vendor packages Establish, and work within, policies and procedures for software application design, development, testing, and documentation Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of business processes Coordinate application development for multiple projects Provide applications and utilities to enhance production performance Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements Provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technologyVerify database and data integrity Work confidently with all levels of management Provide procedures and documentation for audit and regulatory compliance Qualifications: Skills Required: 4 years Development of Microsoft.Net technologies Microsoft .NET Framework (1.1, 2.0. 3.0) Microsoft .NET Mobile Framework (1.1, 2.0) Microsoft C# Microsoft ASP.Net Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008 - tables, indexes, keys, stored procs., views, roles, tuning Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 JavaScript and VBScript Java experience a plus Crystal Reports experience a plus XML and XSL Extensive understanding of security standards and implementation Load and stress testing Web-based .NET applications Strong project management skills with effective results focused within an information systems environment Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experienced in the development and implementation of standards, procedures, and guidelines to support operational processes Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high pressure on-call environment with changing priorities Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours A results-oriented individual who thrives working in a fast paced environment Compensation Fulltime compensation between $50,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
