*No H1s.as they would like to flip to FTE* Quality Assurance Lead In this role the Quality Assurance Lead works with the Software Product Development teams to ensure product quality by analyzing requirements and determining data requirements, then developing test data, validating production data files, logging and retesting defects, and executing software test cases in a manual environment. This person should be able to review requirements and provide feedback; create a testing matrix; log, manage, and retest defects; create and execute test cases; validate algorithms; validate user documentation; execute regression, interface, integration, and system test plans; and help to define entrance and exit criteria for components under test. This person will have 10 years of testing experience on software projects and familiarity with testing methodologies. This person must be willing to challenge the status quo when needed and embrace and promote change. A self-starter, this person assertively promotes quality processes in order to improve customer satisfaction, assess risk, and minimize re-work while working within the team structure; identifies invalid data sources and can validate meta data to ensure data integrity. This person focuses on quality while testing products. Defines and implements metrics to reduce risk. Develops test strategies and plans based on business objectives, and can identify, assign, and manage the multiple roles and responsibilities needed on a project team. Job Responsibility " Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience or specialized training) in Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), Software Engineering, or related discipline. " Understands Software Development Life Cycle and Quality Assurance concepts, metrics, SDLC methodologies and documentation standards " Participate in developing test strategies, test plans based on functional specifications, test cases from use cases, and requirement matrixes from requirements " Strong Project Management experience " Participate in creating detailed work plans for test projects " Ability to work independently on multiple projects " Ability to create database queries for Back End testing and validation " Experience and knowledge of testing web-based, multi-tier and stand-alone applications and associated technologies " Display a proven ability to create test plans and test cases for enhancements and defect fixes at a function and user level " Conduct execution and validation of previously written test plans, test cases, and regression tests " Ability to multi-task effectively " Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to fine details " Be able to provide detailed analysis of test results from a test execution after logging defects in a defect tracking system " Experience on a variety of platforms, familiarity with development methodologies and test levels, " Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred " Knowledge of relational databases such as MS SQL, Oracle 9i, and 10g would be preferred " Strong understanding of test automation " Expertise with testing tools like QTP, BPT, Quality Center " Experience with the Rational products as plus " Candidate with CSQA, CSTE, or be qualified for certification will be a plus Client is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, M/F/D/V.
