POSITION OVERVIEW:Provide day-to-day problem reporting and management for multi-tiered Web siteenvironment. Implement policy level directions regarding standards andprocedures. Develop working documentation for scheduling, problem resolution,monitoring, and tool usage. Work with other departments to consult on systemwide improvements. Develop and/or consult various monitoring tools to ensuresuperior reliability, high availability, and high performance productionsystems.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide ongoing support of Microsoft, Weblogic, Apache and Tomcatinfrastructures.-Use effective communication tools to notify clients of system problems,changes, and enhancements.-Review content related production schedules for appropriate timelyperformance.-Monitors all related Help Desk tickets to provide appropriate and promptresolution.-Provide assistance to less senior operations staff when requested.-Controls production upgrades to assure product stability.-Skill in using Internet development tools to provide support.-Windows Script Host (WSH) and Active Directory Service Interface (ADSI)scripting.-Respond to calls for assistance and troubleshoots first level productionhardware/software problems.-Ability to work across multiple shifts, as production demands require, onoccasion, work overtime hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Experience with load-balanced, high availability architectureExperience supporting clustered Oracle and SQL databases, IIS, Windows Server2000 and Server 2003 required.Unix/Linux, Microsoft Content Management Server experience a plus.
