Technology leader is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer/DBA to grow their team. In this role you will work on a variety of Oracle development projects that involve a broad variety of complex technical and business issues. You will implement data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues. You will work with the existing database team to help implement the physical data model. You will also help administer, maintain and utilize policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the databases. The position will be approximately 75% new development, and 25% DBA type duties. There is a strong preference for RAC and Oracle Data Guard experience, and any industry experience in investment banking. You will work with existing database staff in these areas: o Ensuring the high availability, performance and security of the production database o Tuning at the instance and SQL statement level o Supporting the test and development database environments Required Skills 5-7 Years Oracle experience 1 year experience in Oracle 10g or 11g Excellent SQL and PL/SQL development skills Proficiency in Unix Shell Scripting Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written Experience with: o Functions/Procedures/Packages o SQL and PL/SQL Tuning o Views/Materialized Views o Schema Management/Design (DML/DDL) Preferences BS in Computer Science Oracle DBA Certification Experience with: o Oracle Installation (Linux/Solaris/Windows) o Oracle Statspack o Oracle Advanced Replication o Oracle Data Guard o Backup/Recovery o Real Application Clusters Some Unix/Linux SA Experience To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
