Prestigious Global Trading Firm, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a Build Engineer with strong C++ experience. Candidate will work with various development teams to build and support automated builds, supporting daily continuous integration. Other Responsibilities:* Building and compiling code of varying complexity using automated and manual efforts to ensure complete and accurate code compilation for release into various critical environments. * Administering and maintaining version control, version control software, code repository and backup files.* Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving problems with the build process. * Coordinating releases with development, operations and testing teams to ensure systems are ready for code to be deployed. * Contributing to the maintenance of development environments* Analyzing and recommending corrective action and/or resolving release delivery failures. * Continually seeking methods to enhance and improve upon current processes. Qualifications:Education/Experience: College degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline. Other degrees will be considered with appropriate background and experience. Equivalent work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.5+ years experience in Release, Configuration, and Change Management process. Understanding of various SDLC programs. Understands importance of accuracy and responsiveness with a strong sense of urgency. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to impart knowledge to others.
