Description Our client,one of the largest banks in the US with wealth management,investment banking,and international business,is seeking a Sr. Java Developer - Server Side. Location: Chicago,IL Type of Position: Contract Description: 5+ years experience. Sr. Application Developer for Back Office Documentation System - Application is an internal-facing web application used by Middle and Back Office Operations for processing and storage of trade documents such as confirmations and other documents exchanged with counterparties via fax and email. Position is for server-side programming in a Weblogic environment with connectivity to a Back End Sybase database. Required Skills:Very strong Java skills required in a client/server environment. Weblogic experience preferred,other App Servers ok if real-world experience and JEE skills are very evident. Proficiency in Solaris or other UNIX environment highly desirable as is experience with ksh,Perl or other Scripting languages. SQL skills are a must,Sybase preferred. JMS experience a plus as is MQ. Financial Industry experience is desired,knowledge of industry standards for trade confirmations such as DTCC a plus but not mandatory. Excellent communications skills a must have as you may be facing off with remote locations such as London and India.
