Title: VMWare Consultant
Location: Chicago area
Duration: Approx 1 year duration (1900 hours)


ThinApp Resident scope of work • Building and packaging of the Thin App application

• Evaluate and analyze the current implementation and make recommendations for service level and technical improvements.

• Reduced risk to customer through use of certified professionals and proven methodologies

• On-boarding of customer resources via on-site knowledge transfer and hands-on training

• Assist in implementing VMware and Thin App related Software

• Recommendations for future implementations

• Implementation of new View and ThinApp clients and the supporting virtual infrastructure

services

• Assess, and modify all currently deployed ThinApp to be consistent with the customer Co

architecture and services

• Provide mentoring to assigned customer Co staff for the purposes of knowledge transfer.




VIEW Resident scope of work • Support of VMware Infrastructure 3, and View clients currently installed

• Implement View Clients to Customer Co Enterprise

• Manage and Support View Clients

• Conduct a thorough health check and analysis of the environment verifying current Base

Image is stable

• Evaluate and analyze the current implementation and make recommendations for service

level and technical improvements

• Test end user experience within customer datacenters and field locations

• On-boarding of customer resources via on-site knowledge transfer and hands-on training

• Assist in implementing VMware View

• Provide run-books and required documentation to support the current and future

environment

• Assist troubleshooting items related to VMware Products, Architecture, and Infrastructure

Issues as required

• Recommendations for future rollouts and upgrades

• Implementation of new VMware Infrastructure, View clients, and the supporting virtual

infrastructure services

• Implementation of additional virtual machines and infrastructure services as required

consistent with the customer Co View architecture

• Assess, and modify all currently deployed virtual machines and infrastructure services to be

consistent with the customer Co architecture and services

• Provide mentoring to assigned customer Co staff for the purposes of knowledge transfer
