Aon Re Services is the technical consulting arm of Aon Re, the world's largest reinsurance intermediary. We are a multi-disciplinary team of professionals with expertise in actuarial science, accounting, tax, insurance/securities law, underwriting, catastrophe modeling and financial disciplines. We are fully involved in all aspects of the broking process, namely origination (winning and growing clients), structuring (designing products to solve their risk management/financing problems) and execution (placing these products with re-insurers and investors).

Job description: Manage the development and deployment of software products and automation tools in support of Aon Re Services' catastrophe risk management services globally.

Duties:
*Create requirements and project timelines for new software products and enhancements to existing products.
*Manage multiple projects and maintain overall responsibility for quality and timeliness of deliverables for the projects.
*Interface with software development, analytics and actuarial groups in different geographical locations during planning and execution phases to effectively and efficiently address technology and project issues.
*Interface with product managers globally to continuously monitor and adapt to changing busines needs and priorities.
*Maintain an understanding of business trends and potential technical ramifications of a changing business environment on current and future technology solutions.
*Interface with client users and client IT personnnel to ensure optimal deployment of services.
*Set policies, procedures and best practices for product development.
*Ensure the appropriate focus is placed on scalability, robustness, supportability, extensibility, compatibility and reusability of technical solutions.

Qualifications:
*Master's degree in engineering/science/finance/applied math (Bachelor's degree will be considered for exceptional candidates).
*7 years of experience within a commercial software development environment with hands-on expertise in the complete product development life cycle.
*3 years of project management experience.
*2 years experience with web application development.
*Proven track record of delivering innovative products in a timely manner.
*Proven track record of successfully tackling multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

**Prefer individual with familiarity in commercial Catastrophe models such as RiskLilnk, Clasic/2 and WCe.

**Strong background in numerical programming.

**Experience developing online GIS applications.

Special Skills Required: Expertise in VB, NET, C# or C++, MS-Access, SQL Server, ODBC and XML.
