SUMMARY:
The Senior Technology Analyst will play a lead role in product development efforts in the Catastrophe Systems group from a technology perspective, in support of the catastrophe modeling operations of Aon Re Services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain, support and enhance existing in-house analytical tools, methodologies and algorithms.
- Actively manage impact of catastrophe model changes on in-house tools and processes.
-Create functional specifications and prototypes for new products and processes.
-Author technical documentation and methodology white papers.
-Train users and identify opportunities for process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Master's degree in engineering/science/finance/applied math.
-3 years experience with commercial Catastrophe models such as RiskLink, Clasic/2 and WCe
-Experience with at least one data analysis package: MATLAB / SAS / Mathematica / S-Plus etc.
-2 years of project management experience.
- Knowledge of SQL and at least one programming language VB/C/C++/C#.
-1+ years of commercial software development experience.
