Chicago financial firm seeks a highly skilled Linux Engineer to perform the following roles: Managing the architecture and operations of the Linux/Unix environment Manage engineers Assess, research and implement new technologies in Linux/Solaris environment Linux/Solaris architecture, admin, installation and performance tuning NAS NFS storage admin Trading system support Architect fault tolerance systems Requirements: 5-10 years experience with Linux/Solaris administration Performance tuning and clustering Prior experience supporting financial systems desired or experience in a fast-paced, low-latency environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 2+ years lead/management experience Must have ability to work early mornings and off hours when required
