Prestigious Global Trading Firm, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a Sr. Server Engineer to lead the Windows and Unix Admin teams. This individual will be responsible for architecture and administration of server systems as well as be responsible for day-to-day management and mentoring of other team members. Responsibilities:Plan, design, and manage the deployment of highly available IT infrastructure and associated support services, including Windows and Linux Servers, storage, electronic communication systems, and infrastructure services (ie authentication, authorization, DNS, NTP, etc.) Develop and advance virtualization strategy Lead Server Administration teams, including organizing the allocation of resources Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards Asset and inventory management for server environments Requirements:At least 5 years hands on experience with enterprise Linux and/or Windows environments Relevant management or leadership experience Excellent communication skills Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, and DFS Experience with multiple Unix and Linux flavors, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, and Solaris Experience with clustering, replication, and other high-availability and Disaster Recovery technologies Experience managing tape backup environments Experience with HP and Dell server and storage hardware Experience using Scripting languages for task automation (Perl, VB, etc.)
