Modis is currently seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer for an exciting contract to hire opportunity with our client in the Chicago area. JOB DESCRIPTION The Sr. Software Engineer will be working in a team environment on the full lifecycle design and development of complex, multithreaded applications using C++, Visual C++ and C#.Net technologies. These applications will require functionality to communicate with other devices and the network, so individuals should have a solid understanding of application to network communication using TCP/IP, UDP, SMPP, TL1 and Serial RS323 protocols. Candidates MUST have a Masters Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics with a mastery of complex data structures, algorithms, core libraries and implementation details. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Required Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or Physics. - 7+ years experience in the IT Industry REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE - Expert C++, Visual C++ and C#.Net Development - Expert experience in the design and development of multi-threaded applications - Expert Object Oriented analysis and programming skills - Strong Oracle 9i/10g, PL/SQL and SQL skills ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/HOW TO APPLY *This is a contract to hire role.
