Location: Charlotte, NC
Type: 8 months contract opportunity

Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for managing a project funded at $2.45MM to:
1. Build real-time data capability into the ODS and
2. Make available in the ODS in real-time, core subject area data from Beta.

Typical tasks and duties:
- Manage project team direct resource of 4+ team members consisting of a tech lead, data analyst/modeler, and ETL developers.
- Form partnering relationships with indirect project staff resources from areas external to BDMG such as architecture team, application development teams, infrastructure teams, etc., and coordinate project activities such as architecture design, impact analysis, pilot development and testing, infrastructure build out, software and hardware purchase, installation and testing, etc.
- Communicating, coordinating and negotiating with vendors.
- Collaborate and coordinate with project manager(s) on application development project(s) that will be using the real-time data capability, to ensure timely and smooth delivery on their projects.
- Keep project advisor apprised of all status and issues and consult with him in architectural directions, project design, and issues.
- Monitor and report progress and budget to project advisor, produce all necessary communications and management reporting documents.
- Ensure project follows BDMG PMO standards and guidelines, WSIT SDLC and change management and risk management processes.
- Schedule, chair and facilitate project JAD sessions, capture minutes, follow up on action items.

Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of real-time data movement, especially using IBM MQ.
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience and demonstrated abilities in managing projects involving environment build out.
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and work streams
- Experience with real-time/right-time data warehousing.
- Experience with managing projects in a matrix organization.
- Strong understanding of data quality assurance processes and procedures
- Good written and verbal communications skills

Desired skills and experience:
- Experience and demonstrated abilities in managing a data warehouse projects
- Understanding of data modeling
- Familiarity with IBM MQ / WBIMB
- Familiarity with Informatica, especially Informatica RT and Informatica Exchange
- Vendor relationship management
