Manage multiple developments, projects, development groups and/or application support functions for a major business segment. Oversee multiple applications, programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs. Communicates and endorses strict adherence to development and quality standards and monitors adherence on an on-going basis. Direct, oversee, motivate and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Lead analysis of organizational needs for development and implementation of applications. Interfaces with clients to ensure that systems are developed which meet their business needs and specifications.
Experience: POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1) Four years of work experience with a Bachelor Degree OR Five years of work experience with a Technical Certificate or college courses OR Six years of work experience.
2) Proven experience in team leadership and full life cycle development on a J2EE Web based development effort.
3) Proven in depth experience in overall project management across multiple technologies and platforms.
4) MS experience to include Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project.
5) Possess effective verbal and written communication skills; and
6) Proven in strong analytical abilities

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

1) possess knowledge of insurance industry;
2) have project management experience;
3) Relational Database Experience DB2;
4) exposure or working knowledge of ILOG or other business rules engines;
5) working knowledge of MQ series
6) Working knowledge Webservices on the WebSphere 6.0 platform
7) exposure to HIPAA EDI transactions a plus;
8) exposure to Paperfree or other EDI translator a plus
