Our National client currently seeks an experienced PROJECT MANAGER for DIRECT-HIRE or CONTRACT to HIRE.

POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER - APPLCATIONS
LOCATION: CHICAGO-LOOP
TERM: DIRECT-HIRE or CONTRACT to HIRE

Manage application development and implementation of technology projects to meet strategic goals. Work with senior business leaders to identify and document business requirements based on strategic plans.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise 2-5 developers and analysts
2. Develop project plans for 6- 10 (small to medium) technology projects each year
3. Define and manage these projects using established project management techniques
4. Work directly with senior staff designated by Senior Managers as Project Leaders to define project scope and goals and deliver results
5. Supervisory responsibilities include maintaining internal development standards and industry standards, establishing and refining best practices, documenting applications and processes, executing against project and test plans, attending weekly change control meetings, etc.
6. Work closely with staff assigned to projects to define project goals, analyze current procedures to ensure technology solution will meet project goals, and recommend and plan solutions in accordance with business needs
7. Support rollout and enhancements, including appropriate client documentation and training
8. Perform other tasks as directed by the IS Director and the CIO
9. Develop and support IS and business relationships

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree with concentration in technology or communications field preferred.
2. Successful experience working directly with both technical and non-technical staff
3. Excellent customer service skills.
4. Strong organizational and communication skills, demonstrated leadership skills, ability to prioritize multiple, concurrent projects and demands, and demonstrated initiative.
5. Candidate must have 3-5 years of personnel management experience and 3 years experience managing projects, as well as excellent time and resource management skills.
6. Candidate must have experience managing projects where the Solution has been to select a packaged product and install it at the Enterprise-level
7. Experience with Web Applications - REQUIRED.
