My downtown client in the River North area seeks a Sr. Red Hat Linux Administrator to join their team on a full- time basis. This is an exciting opportunity with a fast- growing company that is doing cutting- edge development.

The Sr. Systems Administrator will be managing 1-2 other Operations employees that are responsible for basic desktop support and Windows Administration. They will also be managing, monitoring and maintaining all internal and production servers (Windows and Linux). The hours for this position will be standard, but this person must be available during off hours to respond to emergencies.
Experience: Candidates MUST HAVE 5+ years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration as well as advanced shell scripting knowledge. Detailed networking (DNS,TCP/IP,DHCP) and Switch (Dell/Cisco) knowledge is also required. This person should have experience installing and upgrading Linux Kernels, configuring hardware devices and configuring and managing LDAP.
