Enterprise Architect in Chicago, IL
RiverPoint is looking for a skilled Enterprise Architect.
The Enterprise Architect will achieve this by strategically designing, developing, and implementing modeling methodologies for enterprise-level applications and systems. These models shall be architected at the following layers: conceptual, logical, business area, and application. This individual will act as the primary advocate of modeling methodologies, processing best practices and architectural governance.
Qualifications
. College diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering.
. 10+ years of experience in some combination of enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation, and custom development.
. Ability to provide vision and leadership to a diverse organization and skill sets.
. Align IT strategies to support the fulfillment of business goals and strategies.
. Develop high-level tactical road-maps for the delivery of IT strategies and solutions.
. Experience with business requirements analysis, entity relationship planning, database design, reporting structures, and so on.
. Understanding of various integration technologies including Web services (SOAP, XML, UDDI, WSDL), Enterprise Service Bus and Portals.
. Experience with implementing various content management technologies and usage patterns in online media industries a plus.
. Experience with implementing search engine technologies, including search engine marketing and search engine optimization a plus.
. Experience with implementing back office applications and packaged solutions a plus.
. Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop technical leaders.
. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
. Broad knowledge of online applications and industries; knowledge of online media and classified sites a plus.
. Proven project management experience.
. Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
. Strong written and oral communication skills.
. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
. Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Responsibility
. Provide vision and leadership to define the core technologies necessary to meet business needs including: development tools and methodologies, package solutions, systems architecture, security techniques, and emerging technologies.
. Assess, define and promote governance, stewardship, and frameworks across the organization.
. Manage the enterprise application portfolio, guiding tactical and strategic system design, implementation and delivery
. Development and promotion of architectural methodologies, including Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) methodologies and best practices.
. Select and implement the appropriate tools, software, applications, and systems to support technology goals.
. Supply cost estimates to project and engagement management, including capital and labor costs
. Lead the evolution of the technical organization, including: new hire integration, career path evolution and planning, training and individual development, and solution center operating model.
. Participate on the leadership team to help evolve company's long- term strategic direction, especially in regard to technology and development trends.
. Create short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall application roadmap.
. Develop and promote methodologies and standards across the organization.
. Collaborate with project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving enterprise data.
. Ensure the success of enterprise-level application rollouts (e.g. SCM, CRM, PeopleSoft, etc.).
. Conduct capacity planning, life cycle, duration, usage requirements, feasibility studies, and other tasks.
