Web Application Development Lead in Chicago, IL

Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience designing, testing and supporting enterprise-grade software.
- 5-7 years of general, hands-on software development experience.
- 5-7 years of experience using Object Oriented Programming (OOP).
- 3-5 years of experience of using UML 1.x/2.0.
- 3-5 years of developing web application using ASP.NET 1.1/2.0, including user interface design.
- 4-6 years of hands-on experience with the Microsoft .NET 1.1/2.0 framework.
- 3-5 years of experience using source code control packages, such as Microsoft SourceSafe or CA Harvest.
- 7-9 years of experience using relational databases, preferably IBM DB2 and Oracle, with excellent knowledge of SQL.
- 5-7 years of experience using Internet technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Demonstrable and verifiable experience in full project life cycle initiatives with leadership role.
- Excellent understanding of best practices and patterns of software architecture and design.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to create technical documents that can be easily used by other team members, including remote team members.
- Ability to perform frequent code reviews and ensure software maintainability and compliance.
- Ability to work well in a large, structured organization.
- Must have worked closely with business to understand their requirements and translate those to functional specifications.
- Ability to closely follow enterprise policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ability to learn and adopt new technologies as the project may dictate.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing applications in the financial industry.
- Experience with mutual funds applications.
- Experience managing offshore development teams.
- Experience using AJAX, preferably Microsoft ASP.NET 2.0 AJAX Extensions 1.0.
- Experience using Microsoft Enterprise Library 3.x.
- Experience using Web Services.
- Experience using IBM DB2 V9.
- Experience using Oracle 10.
- Experience using Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005.
- Experience using Unix, any flavor.
- Experience using Quest Software TOAD for DB2 or Oracle.
- Experience using and developing Actuate reports.
- Experience using CA Harvest.
