Regulatory Developer / Data Analyst in Chicago, IL

Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of application development experience and/or minimum 5 years experience in Business and Systems Analysis and Design
- Hands-on programming experience in full life-cycle projects using databases like DB2/UDB, SQL Server and/or Oracle-10g
- Expertise in Unix / AIX shell scripting
- Expertise in relational database systems including DB2/UDB, and Oracle-10g
- Ability to understand functional requirements and translate into technical requirements
- Strong and proven skills in creating quality documents such as business requirements / use-cases, functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and user manuals
- Aptitude to troubleshoot
- Readiness for production support especially during nightly batch process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Independent and self-starter
- Participation from start to finish in at least 3 medium to large enterprise-level engagements, especially in a n-tier distributed environment
- Creative and thriving under pressure
- Ability to interface with business partners at various levels
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of UML and SQL
- Experience with automated testing tools
- Familiarity with Actuate and Autosys
- Application development and/or functional experience in brokerage industry or any other allied area
- Technical leadership or Lead BA role in at least 2 medium to large enterprise level engagements in complex n-tier systems
- Experience in designing batch and real-time applications
- Familiarity with .NET framework
- System-level knowledge of Thomsons BETA trading platform
- Familiarity with configuration management and deployment solutions and tools such as Harvest, PVCS and VSS
- Experience in SOX Compliance, Regulatory areas
- Project Management experience
- Familiarity with different development methodologies
