Interface Support Analyst
Job Description
The HL7 Interface Support Analyst is the interface product expert and implementation specialist in the Technical Support Department. This role coordinates with customers, analyzes needs, configures interfaces, tests interface implementations, and maintains production interfaces.
Additional responsibilities include taking technical support calls and driving tickets to resolution. Responsibilities include HL7 interfaces, EMR interfaces, and network configurations. This role is not responsible for developing interfaces, but implementing them at the customers’ sites.
Essential Functions:
• Analyze interface needs with customers in a pre-sale setting
• Determine implementation details for sold interfaces
• Managing the queue of interface tickets
• Configuring HL7 interfaces
• Configuring EMR interfaces
• Handle technical support calls as needed
Minimum competencies, knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Knowledge of the HL7 protocol
• Experience implementing HL7 interfaces
• Understanding of health information systems
• Understanding of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CGI, etc.)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Comfort with LINUX
• Good interpersonal skills
• Good organization skills
• Knowledge of medical imaging or DICOM is a big plus

Experience: Education and Experience:
• BS in technical field
• 2+ years relevant experience
