My client, a downtown trading firm, seeks a Unix Systems Administrator to join their team on a full- time basis. The primary focus of the Unix Systems Administrator position is the operational support of multiple, remote, proprietary trading environments. The second focus involves performance monitoring and analysis of the aforementioned environments and the development of improved monitoring methodologies, tools, and systems reporting processes.
Experience: Candidates MUST HAVE 3+ years of Unix Systems Administration experience. Strong knowledge of Unix operating system (Linux and Solaris preferred) is also required, as well as strong perl and shell programming skills. C/C++ knowledge is a huge plus.
