Prestigious Fortune 500 Company located in Chicagos Loop is currently seeking a Production Scheduler who knows both mainframe and open systems. Candidates must have experience building and modifying job schedules with both Jobtrac and Auto Sys. Candidates must know how to build and modify schedules. This is not a support role.

- Creates and maintains accurate schedules as well as communicates deadlines to appropriate departments.
- Ensures deadlines are met through follow/feedback with internal and external support groups.
- Manages the workflow.
- Updates due dates/notes within all departments and client schedules.
- Creates and maintains forecasting reports and provides to Production Departments.
- Troubleshoots errors in schedules and recognizes redundant processes or tasks and looks for ways to automate.
- Documents and trains user application procedures for schedulers to start, restart, and kill jobs and services.

Experience: - Knowledge of scheduling packages including advanced knowledge of Jobtrac and Auto Sys
- Understanding of complex scheduling
- Problem determination skills and job failure skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to train others.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information and solutions to non-technical audience.
- 2-3 years open systems experience.
- 2-3 years system operational experience.
