.NET Developer

Employment Type: Contract 6-12 months

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Review design specifications and make architectural recommendations
Work alongside developers producing applications from design specifications
Manage the source control process
Coordinate and produce application builds
Organize details for promotion of application to testing environment
Track and follow through on reported production errors and issues
Thoroughly understand all facets of our application environment
Understand our network, server, and desktop infrastructure
Evaluate impact of change requests and new projects on our existing architecture and infrastructure
Projects will involve SQL
Projects may involve integration with third party software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Crystal Reports, Navision, Hyperion Enterprise etc.)
Commit to quality and completeness

Top Skills:
Three years of HTML, XSLT, CSS and JavaScript development
Two years of JavaScript in an AJAX architecture
Three years of HTML, XML, XSLT, CSS, XHTML and ASP.NET development
Advanced fluency in SQL
Proficiency with complex stored procedure development
Has worked in multi-developer environments participating in full development lifecycle from design through product rollout

Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of database concepts
Experience with a SQL-based server product
Strong communication, problem solving, and research skills
Strong enthusiasm for working with computers and the creation of quality software
Experience with other object-oriented languages, including any .NET language
Experience working in a distributed client/server environment
Experience with classic ASP
Experience with Ajax
Knowledge of XML technologies
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture
Windows 2000 and/or Windows XP
Experience with PVCS Version Manager and/or Microsoft Visual SourceSafe
Familiarity with data warehouse concepts
Experience with PVCS Tracker or other System Change Management tracking software
Microsoft Sharepoint portal server
Microsoft Office development
