System Engineer/Architect/Administrators design, construct, test and implement basic integrated network hardware and software solutions, distributed computing solutions, and physical/logical communications networks. They monitor performance to identify and resolve system infrastructure problems.

Experience and Skills
? 3+ years server experience including:
? Server/LAN OS (Windows/NT) architecture and hardware (fault tolerance, drive configuration, Raid technology, SCSE devices) - Experienced
? Designing, planning, configuring, administering, and capacity planning for at least one of IRI's installed server systems - Experienced
? Technical leadership/problem-solving - Experienced
? Certifications preferred (e.g., Microsoft)

Functional Accountabilities
? Design, plan and implement server architecture
? As third tier technical support, coordinate with technical groups to resolve issues or create/enhance the technology infrastructure; work with client and vendor technical staff on problems and projects under the direction of senior technical leadership
? Perform capacity planning and measurement
? Configure, install, and reconfigure server or computing device
? Analyze, test, implement, and apply system management tools to troubleshoot server problems using established procedures and independent judgment; escalate as appropriate
? Manage upgrades and enhancements to the technical infrastructure of server systems.
? Monitor and report security vulnerabilities; recommend and implement security measures and tools
? Stay current with technological change and opportunities that apply to the job

Education
BS/BA Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) or experience
