We have an immediate need for a Senior Developer/Architect to be located in Chicago, IL.

Roles:
- Java Solutions Architect
- Project time and cost estimator
- Sr. Application Developer
- Troubleshooter of application issues
- Technical Team Lead

Responsibilities:
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the system's source code and data.
- Obtain an understanding of all related systems and how they interface
- Work with the overall System Project Manager to deliver systems assignments on-time.
- Direct the work of other Systems Developers in delivering high quality web applications, with web services interfaces.

Position Requirements:
- Four-year college degree.
- Five to seven years of recent Sr. Java Developer/ Solutions Architect experience.
- Strong, hands-on technical background.
- Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate systems development status and current issues to management and within the team.
- Must be well organized and able to work in a demanding, multi-tasking environment.
- Must be flexible with regard to overtime.

Technical Skills:
- Requires strong Java, J2EE development.
- Requires strong SQL scripting.
- Requires experience/understanding of SQL Server database.
- Prefer experience with IBM Web Sphere.
- Prefer experience with STRUTS - Open Source Presentation Framework.
- Prefer experience with CAF Development Framework.
- Helpful to have experience with IBM's Pandora Methodology.
- Helpful to have experience with CVS release management software.

Industry Expertise: (desired)
- Payments processing experience (ideally in Federal Government environment)
